What is the layout of a Day Tour in Israel?

You will be picked up in a van by your Israeli tour guide in the morning. You will then travel to the location which you chose together. Don’t worry, most sights are within a 60-minute drive from Tel Aviv or Jerusalem. You will tour your highlights, have a local lunch experience, tour some more and then head back.

Where are the top places to tour when you only have one day?

  1. Jerusalem: The eternal city. Holy to 3 billion people worldwide, Jerusalem offers religious and historical gems that no other city can match. Some of the main highlights include:

    1. The Church of resurrection (Sepulchre)

    2.  The Western Wall

    3. City of David

    4. Temple Mount are some of the highlights.

    5. Israel Museum

    6. Yad Vashem Holocaust memorial and museum.

  2. Tel Aviv: The most vibrant city in Israel. It is also the economical capital with 1500 startup companies. There are more than a few historical neighbourhoods to tour. Food, wine, street art and architecture are Tel Aviv’s specialities. And don’t forget, this is also the city where the State of Israel was declared after the British Empire left in May of 1948.

  3. Masada and the Dead Sea: King Herod’s 2000-year-old fortress is one of the most impressive archaeological sights in the world. It is also one of the best-known historical battle sights. It is described in the book “The Wars of the Jews” by Flavius Josephus. After Masada, you can float in the Dead Sea, a world wonder located in the lowest place on earth.

  4. Caesarea and Acre: King Herod’s capital city from 2000 years ago is just like visiting Rome. Then travel to Acre, the Crusader capital from the 12th century. Acre was the main port city of Israel in the 12 century and carries an authentic ancient look and feel. It has the best-preserved crusader architecture and is considered a world heritage site.

  5.  A Specialty Boutique Tour, such as “The Loss of the Resonance Chamber” in Tel Aviv.
